Who: Women who value community, embodied healing, and showing up for themselves.

What: I’ll lead us in various regulation tools:
“Top-down” tools such as imagery and affirmations
“Bottom-up” tools such as conscious breathing, somatic awareness, gentle movement, and attuned touch
Each session includes:
Guided journaling to help you check in with yourself
Embodied practices to settle your nervous system
Tools to bring more calm into your days
A closing meditation to integrate and ground

Where: Live on zoom. No recordings available.

When: 4 sessions on Tuesdays before Yom Tov: March 11, 18, 25, April 1, 11 am NY / 5 pm Israel (6 pm on 4.1) for 60 minutes.

Why: Because we need to be embodied and connected, learn to slow down, and have strong, resilient, and regulated nervous systems in order to do our work in this world, and with Hashem’s help we can achieve that!

I’ve asked a number of women in our community here if they have a daily embodiment / regulation practice.

Most of them said they didn’t, even though they know it’s important…

Why do I think so many of us are like this?

Many of us are missing two important components:

  1. Regulated Nervous Systems
  2. Community

One of the bases for our productivity, success, health, and healthy relationships is having a Regulated Nervous System.

A bit of science: Our Autonomic Nervous Systems are meant to go in and out of hyper and hypoarousal and then recalibrate to help us reach a state of calm. This is a sign of a Regulated Nervous System. As we’ve all experienced long-term stresses in our lives (whether as a result of traumas, lockdowns, high-stress living/work environments, etc), many of us are struggling with Dysregulated Nervous Systems. 

The good news is, Hashem gave us the ability to heal our dysregulation.

How? What’s the key to a Regulated Nervous System? 

Daily self-help embodiment practices that show our nervous systems that we are safe, and they can relax and return to a state of strength, resilience, and regulation.

Well, there are LOTS of wonderful self-help tools out there, but the one thing that self-help tools can’t provide is…

Community.

It’s one thing to learn what to do and perhaps even practice it on your own…

And it’s exponentially more healing to learn what to do and practice it together with others.

A bit of science: We have something called Mirror Neurons. These are neurons that fire both when we practice an action ourselves AND when we see another doing it.

So when we practice together in community, we not only get the benefits of feeling more encouraged and socially engaged, we also benefit from others doing the same actions we are / want to be doing!
