Transforming Touch® is a trauma-informed therapeutic modality designed to address developmental trauma. It focuses on building somatic safety and regulation within the nervous system, especially for those who may not have experienced secure attachment early in life.
This attachment-based approach integrates unresolved trauma by bringing intentional awareness to specific areas of the body, fostering trust and facilitating deep healing.
What to Expect in a Session
Transforming Touch® sessions can be hands-on, hands-off, or conducted remotely via Zoom. All work is deeply intentional. For example, placing a hand under the adrenal area involves connecting through multiple layers—clothing, skin, fascia, muscles, and bones—ultimately reaching the adrenal with intention, even without direct contact.
Sessions follow a predictable protocol that builds somatic trust and safety. Unlike other modalities where practitioners may follow intuitive cues, Transforming Touch® uses a structured approach, creating a stable foundation for healing.
During the session, clients may experience a range of emotional or physical reactions, from calmness to activation. These responses are a natural part of the nervous system’s process of integration.
