Screaming with rage

I saw a man on the bus absolutely losing it on the bus driver. Screaming with rage over the back door not opening.

And I thought: Whoa, he’s activated. His nervous system is completely dysregulated. This isn’t really about the bus.

Then I pondered: where in my life do I have activation that I don’t notice? Where does it build up without me seeing the subtle signs? Where does it erupt in ways I later regret?

Because when you can label it, you can relate to it. As you relate to it, something shifts.

You’re not the activation. You’re you, noticing that activation is present.

That small distinction creates the shift.

It doesn’t excuse the behavior. You’re still responsible for what you do.

But at least you understand where it came from. At least you can work with it instead of being blindsided by it.

What activation have you been avoiding labeling? What would change if you could just name it?

Supporting your wholeness,
