“How can I convince him?” You don’t.

A common hesitation I hear from women considering my retreats is that while they feel deeply drawn to the experience, they’re unsure how to talk to their husbands about it, especially if they’re not sure he’ll understand why it matters so much to them, or when it involves money, time away, or something that feels deeply personal.

If you’ve felt similarly, here’s what I want you to know.

Your needs are important. Your feelings matter.

Your husband may or may not be able — or willing — to provide this for you. But when you express yourself clearly in a way he can understand, he will likely desire to give it to you, even if he can’t.

And remember: Hashem has infinite ways of making things happen, if only you can identify what it is you’re craving in life.

Here’s a formula you can use when asking:

And then—pause.

Wait at least 30 seconds. Literally. Count to at least 30 in your mind as your husband processes what you said. This gives him space to step into his masculine, without you interfering with his process.

He may say “no” or respond in a way that disappoints you.
He may still not understand.

And it can feel really painful to have made yourself vulnerable by expressing your feelings and needs, and then not have them met.

But remember — you did your part. You didn’t cajole, convince, or push. You stayed in your feminine and created space for your husband to be in his masculine.

Perhaps in doing just that, you got what you needed out of the retreat without attending.

And now…you sit with the feelings of disappointment or pain, and trust that you did your part, and that Hashem and your husband will continue to take care of you.

If you do decide to join and payment feels tight, I’m happy to offer a payment plan. Just reach out.

If this retreat is calling you, I invite you to take that next step, whether it’s having that conversation today, or reaching out to me to work out the details. Your needs matter. Your voice matters. And you deserve to be in spaces that nourish you.
