Embodied Awareness Journey
Rena led us through a guided somatic mindfulness practice, inviting us to begin by grounding ourselves with deep breaths. As we settled into our bodies, she encouraged us to notice the sensations, starting from our feet and moving up through our body, acknowledging areas of comfort and discomfort. With gentle guidance, we alternated our focus between a place of safety and strength within us and a spot of tension or distress. Rena prompted us to expand our awareness, then zoom in on specific sensations, fostering a deep connection with our inner landscape. Throughout the practice, we learned to hold space for both ease and discomfort, finding balance within ourselves. As we concluded, Rena encouraged us to observe the effects on our body, inviting us to remain in this embodied space for as long as needed.
