Body-Mind Harmony: Preparing for Purim
As Rena guided us through a somatic mindfulness practice, our breathing steadied and our bodies settled into the present moment. With each inhale, we invited our awareness to embrace the sensations of the surface supporting us, acknowledging the tasks awaiting us before Purim. Rena encouraged us to notice how our bodies responded to thoughts of our to-do lists and interactions ahead. We acknowledged the echoes of past stress and gently reminded ourselves that now, in this moment, we are okay. As we scanned the room, we found safety in the space around us, allowing ourselves to release tension and embrace a sense of calm. With each breath, we let go of the weight of past worries and embraced the present moment, knowing that Hashem desires our joy and Menuchas Hanefesh. Rena encouraged us to repeat this practice as needed, until we felt the serenity of true inner peace, ready to approach Purim with a sense of tranquility.
