255 – Somatic Mindfulness Practice 05 12 2024
Accepting My Parts As They Are: No Change Needed
In Rena’s guided somatic mindfulness practice, we embarked on a journey of deepening our connection to our bodies and the present moment. We began with breath awareness, inviting each inhale and exhale to guide us deeper into ourselves. As we settled into our bodies, we observed sensations without judgment, allowing them to simply exist. With gentle curiosity, we explored the landscape of our inner selves, meeting sensations with compassion and acceptance. We listened attentively to the messages our bodies shared, honoring their wisdom without the need for them to change. Through this practice of deep listening and acceptance, we cultivated a profound sense of presence and understanding within ourselves. Here, we found a sanctuary of self-awareness and empathy, where every sensation and emotion was welcomed with open arms.

Hi
I want to thank you for these recordings of mindfulness practice. This one in particular was so affirming for me right now. Sometimes I feel like the messages I get from the world is all about healing and working on oneself and finding another webinar or podcast or class to listen to and implement to fix myself and the pressure builds up more and more forever. But this helped me take a step back and just be who I am right now. Whatever I’m feeling about my struggles is completely valid and natural and doesn’t always need to be “upgraded” to a more “healthy” and “acceptable” way. Even if I can accept that for one moment it’s a good thing. So thank you.
Sara,
I’m so glad this resonated! I hope you can keep reminding yourself of this message, that whatever you’re feeling about your struggles is completely valid and doesn’t need to be “upgraded”. Every moment you remind yourself of that adds on to the other moments where you remind yourself of it, which over time create a deeper impact on you. Wishing you well!
