I’ve burned out before. More than once.
I’ve been self-employed since 2012. Fourteen and a half years.
I didn’t always have a daily practice. For a long time, I didn’t. And I paid for it — I came to burnout more than once. Not metaphorically. Real burnout, the kind that forced me to take real breaks, the kind that showed up as actual medical issues in my body.
I have a rich, deep, complex inner world — emotionally and intellectually. Running my own business doesn’t quiet that down, it turns the volume up. And for years, nothing was attending to it. I was just pushing through, resentful, depleted, wondering why the freedom I’d built for myself felt like it was costing me everything.
I went looking for tools that could do this. And kept hitting the same wall — either it was all feel, feel, feel with nothing for my mind to hold onto, or it was all in my head with my body left out entirely. Almost none of it had Torah in it.
I needed something that held both sides of me, aligned with Torah. So I built it myself.
It was only once I had that — a daily practice that actually gave attention to what was going on inside me — that things shifted. My business found more of a flow. The burnout lifted. I came out the other side of it.
That structure is Soul Tilling.
Each week: a teaching on where we are in the Jewish calendar, guided imagery, journaling, somatic meditation, movement — the same process that brought me out of burnout and has kept me going, fourteen and a half years in.
I’ve been there — no daily practice, burning out, resentful. I’ve also been on the other side of it. Now I’m bringing you through what got me there.

Every week we meet live on Zoom — and the class itself is designed to send signals of safety to your nervous system by creating new experiences, together, in real time.
We move through a teaching rooted in the Jewish calendar, a short guided imagery, deep journaling you’ll never have to share, a somatic meditation, and a movement expression. Each element is doing something specific: bringing you out of the activated state and back into yourself.
This month we’re in Tammuz. We’ll be working with the element of water, the body part of the right hand, the sense of vision, and facing our suffering and exile — to reveal the hidden Redemption from within them.
Four weeks. One month. The power of the month to guide our reset.
Two Monday time slots to choose from:
Investment: $40 trial class | $100 for the full month
~60 minutes | Live on Zoom | Not recorded

This week’s book recommendation: If this email resonates with you, I recommend I Know I’m In There Somewhere by Helene Brenner. Brenner writes about the inner voice that gets buried under everyone else’s expectations, fears, and “shoulds” — and how to find your way back to it through learning to listen to what’s already there. A warm, practical guide to coming home to yourself. Order a copy here — this is an affiliate link which doesn’t cost you anything extra and helps support my work.
Supporting your sensitivity,
