Your nervous system IS your marketing
When you listen to someone, watch them, and interact with them, your nervous system is scanning theirs. That’s what mirror neurons do. We literally sense into another person’s nervous system when we’re in contact with them.
Which means: when you’re the face of your business, and you’re presenting in fight-or-flight energy, that is the energy you’re giving off about your business, about what working with you is going to feel like.
Fight-or-flight energy attracts people who are craving that. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. We all need a little hyperness sometimes, a little adrenaline spike here and there. But the people you end up attracting are going to be the people who are looking for that energy.
You are going to attract what you put out. That’s neuroscience.
So I invite you to ask yourself is: what energy do I actually want to be attracting into my business? What do I want my clients to expect from me? What kind of relationship do I want to build?
That’s exactly what you’re marketing with your voice, whether you mean to or not.
If you’re ready to tune into your own voice, bring your nervous system into alignment, and build a business that matches your goals, I’m here to walk you through it. Click here to book a 1:1 session and we’ll do it together.
Warmly,
Rena

If this episode resonated with you, I recommend Anchored: How to Befriend Your Nervous System Using Polyvagal Theory by Deb Dana. This is the book that goes deepest on everything we were talking about — the three states, prosody, neuroception, what regulation actually feels like from the inside. Deb Dana is one of the clearest writers on Polyvagal Theory out there, and this particular book is accessible even if you don’t have a clinical background.
