The depth that only comes with slowing down

There’s Always Another Layer

As long as we’re here in this world, there are always going to be deeper layers for us to uncover and develop. Always a deeper level of Menuchas Hanefesh that we can attain.

When we work through the body, we can access that deep Menuchas Hanefesh that all of us are craving. And when we can be in a group of other women and recognize that we are all grappling with the same underlying things, that brings a settling into our systems.

From that place of Menuchas Hanefesh, our inner world can expand a little more, allowing for deeper insights into ourselves and into our lives.

Why the Retreat Is Different — Even for Experienced Women

The exercises I use at the retreat are carefully chosen and curated in order to delve into a deeper and deeper embodied process that works for everyone in the group. It’s almost like a choreographed dance: no matter who’s in the group or what their background is, it all flows together.

Women with many different somatic experiences behind them often find something new, surprising, or deeper than they’ve done before. The unfolding that happens over our time together makes it unique.

This is not a hodgepodge of exercises stuck together. It’s like developing a story: starting at the beginning, setting the tone and background, and slowly letting it unfold and develop before we reach the conclusion of our six hours together.

Why Six Hours in a Day Isn’t the Same as Six Hours Over Weeks

When we think about going for therapy or joining a group that meets once a week for an hour, we might think, “Well, that’s six hours over six weeks, so how is this any different?”

But something different happens when we go deep during the retreat. The energy builds, and the group environment allows an exponential shift to happen within each woman. Even though the total time might be the same, the six hours of the retreat go exponentially deeper, with subtle yet powerful shifts emerging from the inside out.

A Participant’s Story

It’s been a year since I attended Rena’s retreat, and there’s still a moment from that day that lives vividly in my body and mind. During the final exercise — a short focusing session with Rena — I chose to explore a tightness in my neck that had been with me for a long time. Within seconds of tuning in, I felt overwhelmed. Rena gently guided me to slow it all down so I could stay present. Then something unexpected happened: I felt a ring of fire around my neck that slowly traveled up toward the crown of my head. And just like that, the tightness that had been lodged in my body for years was gone.

I’ve done many healing modalities over the years, but what happened that day was different. The retreat is made up of a series of exercises that build on each other in the most beautiful way. Rena holds space with so much gentleness, warmth, and presence — it allows for deep things to surface without force.

This isn’t the kind of healing that comes with fireworks or big breakthroughs. It’s quiet, subtle, yet so profound. It reaches places that other approaches never touched. Insights and healing from that day are still unfolding for me even now, a year later. I am so grateful for the experience, Rena. Thank you for being such a clear vessel, where lasting healing could actually happen.

I continue to be touched by her words, and the words of others who have also joined my retreats.

If you’re feeling called to explore what might be waiting beneath the layers you’ve already uncovered, I’d love to welcome you into one of my upcoming retreats. We’ll spend the day in a carefully held space, moving together through a sequence that allows insight and healing to arise naturally. You can find all the dates and details in the flyers below, and choose the location that feels right for you.
