The seed that blossoms into the woman you truly are
The Patterns Our Bodies Hold
The patterns in our lives that we want to change, the way our bodies externally are, and the postures we’ve taken on can be changed from the outside in.
As chazal teach us, our external actions impact our inner world. That’s for sure true.
And that’s not the only way to work on things. We can also work from the inside out. And when we work on repatterning from the inside out, it impacts our external posture, which then continues to impact our inner world.
The cycle continues in a positive direction.
More Than Just Posture
You might know I’m a big fan of grounding exercises. And for those of you who attend my Restorative Pause classes, you know it’s not just about the postures we hold.
It’s also about the inner shifts that come through the prompts I give you as you notice what comes up within your body. It’s twofold:
- The physical movements that are happening
- The internal movement that’s happening
This, I believe, is what truly changes our physiology, the way we hold ourselves, and the way we show up in the world.
Witnessing Each Other Without Words
One of the highlights of the retreat is when we work with posture, body movements, gestures, and expression. Without words.
Women witness each other in these positions. It speaks volumes.
Every woman watching sees herself in aspects of each other’s body positions, gestures, and expressions. Not in a judgmental way, but in a wow… that’s relatable, that’s me way.
In that moment, time after time, woman after woman, going and expressing, we see ourselves in the most compassionate way.
Not the fake, “I should be compassionate with myself” way, but true, honest, real compassion.
What Makes Real Self-Compassion Possible
Most women who come to my work are no strangers to the topic of self-compassion.
And honestly, most of them hate it, because it’s something they’ve been told they “should” do to heal.
But when it wasn’t modeled for us, we can’t just put on self-compassion like changing a shirt.
Yet when we access self-compassion in an organic way, it suddenly becomes more accessible. The barriers melt away.
Once it’s accessible, you now have a lived experience to call on whenever you need it in a way that’s embodied and real. And that changes everything.
The Heart of It All
When you plant the seed of the body’s language, and it’s witnessed with compassion, it blossoms into the woman you truly are.
This is the work we do together at the retreat.
Deep doesn’t mean dredging up old memories.
Deep means listening to your body’s truth, your inner child, your deepest needs and emotions and letting them change the way you stand in the world.
If this speaks to something inside you and if you’re ready to be witnessed, to meet yourself with compassion you don’t have to force, and to let your body’s language guide you toward a new way of being, I invite you to join me for one of the upcoming retreats. We’ll spend the day in a safe, attuned space where your inner world can breathe, move, and blossom.
