Emotional Awareness Meditation
Rena guided the group through a meditation focused on mindfulness and emotional awareness. She encouraged participants to breathe deeply and notice their body’s sensations, and asked them to describe their feelings. She then instructed them to ask their felt sense a series of questions to understand it better, with the aim of offering support and compassion, and without any agenda to change the felt sense. The practice was designed to help participants gain insight into their emotional states and learn how to provide for themselves in those moments.
